We want to build connections with Allah. One simple and proven way for that is to read Allah’s words, the noble Quran daily. We often find it difficult to maintain it due to our busy schedules. That’s why we’ve introduced the Quran Streak feature in our Al Quran app to improve your Quran reading habit.
This feature is designed to assist you in reading the Quran regularly. In this blog, we’ll talk about the Quran Stats/Streak feature and share some additional tips to help you improve your Quran reading habit!
What is Quran Streak?
Quran Streak is a newly introduced feature of the Al Quran (Tafsir & by Word) app. It increases a counter if you keep reading the Quran every day. Also, it shows how much time you spend studying the Quran each week using the app. This helps you stay motivated to make it a habit. You can think of this as a self-reminder to connect with the Quran.
What Does Quran Streak Feature Have?
Quran Streak is developed to help you build Quran reading habits regularly. It’ll allow you to keep track of your
- Quran reading streak
- Time spent reading the Quran
We’ll also add more user-friendly features in Quran Streak soon in sha Allah. Such as,
- Contextual and motivational streak notifications
- Stats for longest streak as benchmark
How Does Quran Streak/Stats Help Build Quran Habit?
Now, we’ll highlight some points on how this Stats feature helps you build the Quran habit.
- Once you start using the Quran app regularly, you can track your progress in the Streak and gain inspiration to maintain the numbers in the upcoming weeks. So, the stats will push you to read the Quran regularly.
- If you wish, you can also share your Streak data with friends and family members to inspire them to join the Quran reading journey with you. However, before sharing the stats with others, it is important to have pure intentions, as our actions should be solely for the sake of Allah and not for showing off.
- After getting good stats if you do not read the Quran daily, not even once a week, the numbers will be all zero. When you see zero in stats, it’ll make you feel guilty and encourage you to read the Quran.

Several Other Tips to Read Quran Daily and Making It A Habit
Here are some more tips that may help you to stick with the Quran every day. Let’s know how to read the Quran regularly and make it a habit.
1. Understanding the Importance of Reading the Quran
If you understand the benefits of reading the Quran and get the sweetness of the Quran once, you’ll feel like reading the Quran more. The importance of reading the Quran is mentioned in many hadith such as
The Prophet ﷺ said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi]
2. Set Clear Intentions
Be sure, you’re reading the Quran for the sake of Allah and to get closer to Him. The importance of intention is mentioned in the hadith.
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
3. Create Milestones and Reward or Punish Yourself
It’s essential to set a clear goal to reach your destination. For example, start with something small like reading 5 verses of the Quran a day. When you attain it, increase it gradually and try to incorporate Quran reading into your daily routine.
Once you succeed in any milestone such as completing a sura in a week, reward yourself. Similarly set some punishment or compensation if you can’t reach your milestone in a week. It’ll reinforce your journey to making a Quran habit.
4. Join a Quran Study Group or Community
Sometimes, we get lazy or distracted and can’t keep up with reading the Quran every day. But if we study the Quran in a group or community, it’ll be easier for us to make the Quran a habit. So, join either online or your local Quran study community.
