Introducing the Greentech Waqf Fund: A Step Towards Lasting Impact

At Greentech Apps Foundation, our mission has always been simple: to help Muslims better understand Islam and support people in building a stronger connection with Allah through digital tools. Alhamdulillah, over the years, millions around the world have benefited from our apps.
Now, as part of this journey, we are introducing something very meaningful: the Greentech Waqf Fund, which we will officially launch at our upcoming Greentech Engage 2 event in Huntingdon, UK.
This is not just another initiative. It is a long-term vision for continuous reward, impact, and shared benefit, inshaAllah.
What is a Waqf Fund?
A Waqf (وقف) is an Islamic endowment and one of the most beautiful forms of charity in Islam. It refers to when a person dedicates their wealth or assets for the sake of Allah, allowing its benefit to continue serving people over time.
The key idea is simple:
- The original donation is preserved
- Only its benefits are used for good causes
- The reward continues as long as people benefit from it
Waqf is one of the most powerful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity). Even after a person passes away, the reward keeps reaching them as long as the Waqf continues to benefit others.
The Prophet ﷺ described its power beautifully:
“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” [Sahih Muslim]
Why We Are Launching the Greentech Waqf Fund
At Greentech Apps Foundation, we’ve seen something very clear. When people have access to the Quran, Hadith, and Islamic learning tools in a simple way, their connection with Deen grows.
But building and maintaining these tools requires long-term support.
That’s why we are launching the Greentech Waqf Fund:
- To create a sustainable source of funding for Islamic apps and platforms
- To ensure our services remain free and accessible for everyone
- To support continuous development and improvement of our apps
- To reduce dependency on short-term donations
This fund is designed to keep benefiting users for generations, inshaAllah.

The Benefits of Waqf for You as a Donor
Contributing to the Waqf Fund is not just about giving. It is about investing in ongoing rewards.
1. Continuous Reward (Sadaqah Jariyah)
Your donation continues to bring reward as long as people benefit from the apps, learning tools, and resources supported by the fund.
2. Lasting Impact for the Ummah
Instead of a one-time effect, your contribution becomes part of something that grows and benefits thousands, even millions, over time.
3. Supporting Islamic Knowledge
You help make Quran, Hadith, and Islamic learning more accessible to people worldwide.
4. Sustainable Giving
Unlike regular donations that are used quickly, Waqf is designed for long-term benefit and stability.
5. A Chance to Be Part of Something Bigger
You become part of a community effort that supports Deen-focused technology for the future.
Why This Matters Now
We live in a time where digital tools play a huge role in learning and staying connected. Many people rely on apps to read the Quran, learn meanings, listen to recitations, and build habits of Deen in their daily lives.
The Greentech Waqf Fund is our step towards ensuring this benefit continues without interruption, stable, sustainable, and growing, Insha’Allah.
Launching at Greentech Engage 2
We are honoured to launch this initiative at Greentech Engage 2 in Huntingdon, UK, where we will gather with supporters, users, and well-wishers of Greentech Apps Foundation.
This event is not just about announcements. It is about connection, shared vision, and building something meaningful together.
