Our Community Engagement at Birmingham University, UK

Alhamdulillah, on 15th October 2024, one of our representatives and a volunteer brother attended the Birmingham University event organised by FOSIS. It was a productive day with meaningful conversations and valuable connections.
We arrived early, walked through the campus, prayed Asr prayer, and set up our stall with gifts and leaflets.
A Busy Start
From the beginning, our stall attracted steady interest. Visitors explored our apps on tablets, scanned QR codes, and asked questions about our work.
We met attendees from various backgrounds, including guest speaker entrepreneurs. One highlighted the lack of Flutter usage in the UK, which led him to open an academy in Pakistan to train young talent. These exchanges allowed us to share ideas, contacts, and discuss future collaborations.
Engaging with Students
Many fresh graduates showed interest in internships and volunteer roles, reflecting the relevance of our work to young professionals.
The organisers also arranged Maghrib prayer in congregation, adding a spiritual touch to the evening.
Warm Gestures
We received a gift hamper from the organisers and brownies from a neighbouring stall.
After the event, our team had dinner together before returning home, reflecting on the day’s outcomes and opportunities.
Moving Forward
We are grateful to Allah for the success of this event. The connections made and ideas shared will help us expand our reach and impact insha’Allah.
