Arabic Verb Forms and Cases in Quran App

Are you eager to learn the root words of the Quran? Alhamdulillah, our Quran app allows you to know the root of any word. You can also learn the root verb form in the app. 

The verbs are categorised in several verb forms and cases in our app for your easy understanding. However, if you’re new to this, you might be wondering about the meaning of the verb form and case here.

No worries. This blog will cover all the things you need to know about verb forms and cases used in our Quran app. Let’s explore this in detail.

How Many Verb Forms Are Used in the Quran App?

In our Quran app, there are a total of 9 verb forms, starting from 1 to 9. However, verb form 1 has 9 different cases. Verb form 1 is composed of 3 letters called Trilateral verbs, whereas verb forms 2 to 9 are called derived verb forms that are composed of standard additions to the three letters.

Here are all the verb forms and cases used in our Quran app.

What Does the Verb Form and Case Mean?

Each verb form and case consists of similar verbs that act similarly according to Arabic grammar rules. For example, the basic structure of verb form 1, case 1, is فَتَحَ. So, all the verbs form 1, case 1, will be like it and act like فَتَحَ according to Arabic grammar rules.
