About the Role

At GTAF, we’re helping Muslims build a stronger relationship with their Deen. Unfortunately, not all the Muslims in our target demographic are aware of GTAF and our unique product offerings that can drastically improve their relationship with Islam.

As a Marketing Manager, you will help bring GTAF to the masses, making Muslims around the globe aware of our product and driving them to support our vision and mission. As an early employee, you will own all the operations related to marketing and community development.

Responsibilities

The role will be largely self-directed with high-level objectives:

  • Develop a coherent and clear strategy (social, advertising, partnerships, etc.) for a 12-month marketing plan/efforts for GTAF with SMART goals (updated and re-evaluated quarterly)
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications. Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay-per-click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis
  • Identify potential new markets and create plans to enter the market
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website, blog, and social media that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals. Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on lead flow, LTV and retention
  • Manage the growth of GTAF’s user base and donor base
  • Analyze consumer behaviour and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly
  • Look after the Outreach Team's budget and ensure the budget spent is delivering an ROI. Prepare monthly reports on key metrics and ROI.
  • Partner with and manage regional creative teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry stakeholders, institutions, and organizations

Requirements

Preferred Background

  • BS or MS in marketing, business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of meaningful experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (ex. Firebase, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Mixpanel)
  • Familiarity with content creation and scheduling tools (ex. Canva, Figma, HootSuite etc.)
  • Passionate about making data-informed decisions
  • Aware of general Muslim community nuances/challenges

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing, helping develop strategy and direction for various results-oriented campaigns
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Experience running digital ad campaigns on Facebook, Youtube, App stores, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with various analytics tools
  • Creating, managing, tracking, and analyzing key sales funnels
  • Managing budgets and creating proposals for marketing spend
  • Managing social media pages and running social ad campaigns
  • Fostering relationships with influencers and organizational partners
  • Running email campaigns and managing CRM tools
  • Generating key learnings and reporting campaign performance to others
  • Producing marketing content such as images, videos, and blog posts

  • Excellent communication skills and high-level proficiency in English
  • Strong ability toward problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Self-starter that thrives in a culture of autonomy and optimizes for self-growth / continued learning
  • Ability to think creatively to turn ideas into effective marketing projects
  • A great sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and engaging communication, with an eye for great emails and landing pages
  • Strong project management skills
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Sufficient understanding of the Muslim Demographic and their purchasing behaviours

Salary

40-70k BDT (Depending on expertise)
