You have heard the heart breaking sad news that Palestine has been brutally attacked by Israel again. Hundreds of people, including children, women, and old people, have already died, and thousands are injured. The people in Gaza are experiencing very hard times now. The continuous air strikes and lack of food, water, shelter, and other basic necessities are making things even worse for the people there. In this situation, we have duties for them.
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “The believers, in their mutual love, compassion, and sympathy are like a single body; if one of its organs suffers, the whole body will respond to it with sleeplessness and fever.” [Sahih Bukhari, and Sahih Muslim]
As a part of Ummah, it’s our responsibility to stand for the brothers and sisters in Palestine. Let’s support them by making sincere dua and donation as much as we can to make a difference.
Let’s Pray For Palestine
We should always pray for the oppressed in Palestine. Alhamdulillah, we compiled several duas from the Quran and Sunnah that we can recite on this critical situation for the people of Palestine. Let’s pray to Allah for their protection and security.
1.
حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend.
[Surah Al-Imran, 3:173]
2.
رَبَّنَآ اَفۡرِغۡ عَلَيۡنَا صَبۡرًا وَّثَبِّتۡ اَقۡدَامَنَا وَانۡصُرۡنَا عَلَى الۡقَوۡمِ الۡکٰفِرِيۡنَؕ
Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.
[Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:250]
3.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِهِمْ وَاٰمِنْ رَوْعَاتِهِمْ
O Allah, conceal their faults and calm their fears.
Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (RA) narrates: “On the Day of Khandaq (Trenches), we said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is there anything we can say? For the hearts have reached the throats (out of fear).’ He ﷺ replied: ‘Yes! Say اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا وَاٰمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا.’
Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (RA) says: ‘Allah — Exalted and Majestic is He— struck the faces of His enemies with wind, and thus Allah defeated them through the wind.’” [Musnad Aḥmad]
Dua Against the Enemy of Islam
1.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِيْ نُحُوْرِهِم، وَنَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُوْرِهِمْ
O Allah, we ask You to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in You from their evil.
[Abu Dawud 2/89, and Al-Hakim graded it authentic and Ath-Thahabi agreed 2/142]
2.
اَللّٰهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ، سَرِيْعَ الْحِسَابِ، اِهْزِمِ الْأَحْزَابَ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ
Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account, defeat the groups (of disbelievers). O Allah, defeat them and shake them.
[Sahih Muslim 3/1362]
3.
اللهُمَّ أَحْصِهِمْ عَدَدًا وَاقْتُلْهُمْ بَدَدًا وَلاَ تُبْقِ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا
O Allah! Take note of each one of these enemies of mine, so that You may deal with them. Kill every single one of them and do not spare anyone from among them.
[Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum]
